To be taken seriously one has the have a photo of colored pencils.

This is a simple linear interpolation. This is of course just a portion of the original image. Unlikely the previous images this has been color and gamma corrected to some degree. It is however under-saturated.


This has been processed using the algorithms shown on the previous page but with a few bugs fixed. On a good monitor the improved sharpness is quite visible.

I've also written a "seek and destroy" routine to try to hunt out colored fringes along edges. The difference is hardly noticeable in this compressed image but quite noticeable at full quality with some enlargement.

I made some A4 sized test prints and the difference between the simple and complex interpolation is hardly noticeable. On large prints it may stand out more.

I still have some ideas to try out but I want to move on to color management so I can try using the program for real.
