Here is a quick  overview of the VSG system. I've written some software for the VSG using Borland's Delphi 2. It does Grating acuity, Contrast resolution and Letter acuity tests - see  Eddie's VSG program. for details. 

Also see Cambridge Research Systems' Web Site and I've uploaded copy of the html help files that come with VSG version 5 to cyclops (QUT access only).
